Pittstown, NJ- Arlene Isabelle (McPherson) Bauman, 67, entered eternal life on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in Somerville, daughter of the late Reuben W. and Eleanor (Pegg) McPherson, she was raised in Sand Brook, NJ. Arlene resided in Frenchtown and Flemington before settling in Pittstown for the past 40 years.
Arlene was a graduate of Hunterdon Central Class of 1962. She was co-founder of Friendship Center For New Beginnings in Flemington. In her younger years, Arlene worked for Ortho Pharmaceuticals, Lipton Tea and Mae’s Floral Shop. She attended services at Cornerstone Christian Church in Locktown, was active with their Mission Committee and served as a deaconess as well. Arlene had a love of crafting and arranging flowers.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Robert Russell Bauman with whom she joined hands in marriage on August 28, 1965. She will be deeply missed by her loving sons and daughter, Russell C. Bauman of Pittstown, Jason Bauman of Bethlehem, PA, Katherine Weber of Easton, PA and Andrew Bauman of Bethlehem, PA; dear brothers and sister, Daniel Muscatell, Rose Firth, Reuben Joe McPherson and David McPherson; seven cherished grandchildren with one on the way.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887on Tuesday, February 28 from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church, 226 Locktown Sergeantsville Road, Locktown, NJ 08559. Arlene will be laid to rest at Sand Brook Cemetery in Sand Brook.
