Frenchtown, NJ- Laurie B. Opdyke, 47, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA with her loving family by her side. Born and raised in Flemington, NJ, Laurie settled to Frenchtown in 1999.

Laurie’s passion for life was caring for others, and being a Mom to not only her own children, but also friends of all ages. She was an active member and supporter of the Girls Scouts of America and the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” program and was was a partner to her sisters Donna and Denise with “SAILing”, a puppy rescue program based in Fayetteville, TN. All who knew Laurie will forever embrace the memory of her love for baking cookies and treats. She is renowned for her “Luv in a Box” care packages of home baked goodies which she faithfully sent to her extended family of children and loved ones every few weeks. Laurie's loving and caring character will be missed by countless lives she has touched in her lifetime. Laurie was predeceased by her beloved mother, Theresa (Fabbri) Nowrick in 1988.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Bruce Opdyke, two cherished daughters, Nichole Opdyke of Frenchtown and Victoria Opdyke of Reading, PA; her loving father, Frank “Rick” Nowrick, of Flemington, her devoted sisters Donna Pregeant and husband Charles of TN and Denise Isbell of TN, Also, sister Lisa (Gwen) Nowrick and husband Jeffrey Hedgecock of CA. She will be deeply missed by her faithful canine children, Maddie, Bryndle and Sam.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Sunday, July 15, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
