Hillsborough, NJ- Vincent J. DeMasi, Sr., 92, entered into eternal life Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his home in Hillsborough surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Dominick and Agnes (Gallo) DeMasi, he resided in the Valley Stream section of Long Island, NY for three years before settling to Hillsborough in 1957.

Vincent was honorably discharged from the United States Army having faithfully served his country as a T-3. He was a carpenter and an accomplished artisan.

Besides his parents, Vincent was predeceased by his dear siblings, Lucy Fanto and Nick DeMasi.

Vincent leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of sixty-nine years Domenica (Esposito) DeMasi with whom he joined hands in marriage on December 6, 1942; three loving children, son Vincent J. DeMasi, Jr. and wife Patricia of Hillsborough, daughter Brenda Wasilius and husband Richard of Branchburg and daughter Sandra Maltese and husband Philip of New Hope, PA; three dear siblings, brothers Joseph DeMasi and Fred DeMasi and sister Marie DiBella. He will be deeply missed by ten adored grandchildren, eight precious great grandchildren and by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Sunday, August 26 from 1-4 p.m. The funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. with Deacon John Czekaj officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vincent’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
