Flemington NJ– Anthony J. Catenaro, 75, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at home with loving family by his side. Born in Hoboken, NJ, son of the late James and Rose (Delsano) Catenaro, he had resided in Neshanic Station, NJ before settling to Flemington.

Anthony faithfully served his country with the United States Navy from 1956-1959 as a machinist mate. He served as Secretary Treasurer and Business Agent for Bakery Drivers Local 194 in Union, NJ from 1974-1996. Anthony was a communicant of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. The true measure of his life was in his dedication and commitment to his family. To his children he was a coach, a mentor, and a confidant. His grandchildren were the center of his universe. To them he was the chief spoiler.

Besides his parents, Anthony was predeceased by a sister, Mary Catenaro.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Linck) Catenaro; loving sons and daughter, James Catenaro and his wife Laura of Pittstown, NJ, Anthony Catenaro and his wife Sandy of Flemington, Patricia Catenaro Kurtz and her husband Steve of Flemington, and John Catenaro and his wife Sandra of Easton, PA; and dear sister, Lucy Catenaro of Edison, NJ. He will be deeply missed by four cherished grandchildren, Anthony Catenaro, Sarah Catenaro, Alexandra Catenaro, and Michael Catenaro.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Thursday, May 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, May 23 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23 beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Committal words and interment will follow at St. Magdalen Mausoleum in Flemington.
