Columbia, NJ--Barbara Keen, 86, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Clover Rest Home in Columbia.  Barbara was born July 18, 1931, in Germany.  She married the late Samuel Keen, Jr. on December 7, 1953, whom she met after WWII in Germany. They resided in Three Bridges since 1962.

She had retired from Hunterdon Medical Center after 29 years.  Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and sewing.  She loved to watch all kinds of nature T. V. shows and loved to take care of her flowers and garden.  Barbara was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church.

Barbara was preceded by her parents, Josef and Gertrude Gerstlauer, her
husband, Samuel Keen, Jr., her brother, Otto Gerstlauer and sister, Hedwig
Glisson.

We will all miss this loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother & Great
Grandmother.  She enriched the lives of all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Regina Thiede (Daniel), three grandchildren Tara Poth (Jeffrey) and Stephen Thiede; great grandchild Kimberly Charlotte Poth, Emily Michelle Poth; nieces and nephews, Paula, Carmen, Mary, Kurt, Angela, Peter, Kathy, Leon, Eugene, Joseph, and Carole.

The family will receive friends and family at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ, on Saturday, March 24 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 pm with Rev. Ryan Nace officiating.  A private cremation will follow.
