Stockton, NJ– Benny Farneski, Jr., 79, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Somerville, son of the late Benjamin and Helen (Pietrzyk) Farneski, formerly of Manville and Bridgewater, he settled to Stockton 20 years ago.
Benny retired as a Master Plumber having worked for Union Local #24 in Newark. Prior he was the former Code and Construction Enforcement Official for the Borough of Manville and later was a Plumbing Sub-code Official in South Brunswick and Construction Official for Frenchtown and Kingwood. He was a member of the Central Jersey Beagle Club of Delaware Township having been the former president; member of the Somerset Valley Master Plumbers Association where he was also a former president and was a member of the South Branch Bible Fellowship.
Benny leaves behind his beloved wife Victoria (Blackford) Farneski with whom he joined hands in marriage on May 9, 1954; his loving and devoted sons and daughter: Benjamin Farneski, III and wife Tracey of Pittstown; Mark Farneski and wife Denise, Jeff Farneski and wife Julie all of Alexandria and Christine Coburn and husband Alan of Frenchtown; his two dear siblings: Robert Farneski of Manville and Arleen
Sphoros of Absecon, NJ. Benny will be deeply missed by his cherished seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 beginning 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Kingsley Baehr officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, April 25th from 6-9 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Benny will be laid to rest at Prospect Hills Cemetery in Flemington.
