Flemington, NJ- Beverley H. (nee Howell) Compher, 85, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at home with loving family by her side. Born in Irvington, NJ, daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn (nee May) Howell, she resided in Mountainside, NJ, Berkley Heights, NJ, and Westfield, NJ before settling to Flemington in 1992.

Beverly was a graduate of Hillside High School Class of 1950. She had been a receptionist at the Short Hills Medical Group in Short Hills, NJ. Beverley was a member of the United Methodist Church in Flemington and had served as their financial secretary for some time. She was an avid gardener and a spectacular cook; having taught the tricks of that trade to all three of her children, who are now all excellent cooks.

Besides her parents, Beverley was predeceased by her sister, Lucille Curtis; and a brother who died at a young age.

Beverly is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Frederic M. Compher with whom she joined hands in marriage on August 9, 1952. She will be deeply missed by three loving children, Jan and her husband Michael Gonella of Westfield, Randy Compher and his wife Sherry of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Scott Compher and his wife Kelly of Hillsborough, NJ; six cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Alyssa, Connor, Kaycee, Cody, and Corey; three adored great grandchildren, Forest, Wyatt, and Oakley; a dear niece, Lynn Schenk; and her loving canine friend Daisy.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, PO Box 431, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.

Beverley will be interred at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington.
