Ringoes NJ– Brenda S. Mracek, 49, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center with loving family by her side. Born in Staten Island, NY, daughter of Anthony and Lorraine (Green) Raia, she was raised in Edison before settling to this area in 1990.

Brenda graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was involved in the theater throughout high school and college. She loved spending summers at the shore, cooking, (always trying new recipes), and enjoying a glass of red wine while spending time with friends and family. Brenda was an animal lover who supported the humane society and adored her 2 dogs, Copper and Zeus, who she rescued. Brenda was a communicant of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington.

Besides her loving parents, Brenda leaves behind her devoted husband of 15 years, Michael G. Mracek; two loving children, Brittany Castro and Tristian Mracek, both of Ringoes; and dear siblings, Alice Raia, Carol Fratianni and Russell Raia. She will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Thursday, March 26 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, March 27 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Funeral services will begin on Friday, March 27 at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 12:00 p.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Committal words and interment will follow at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Cemetery in Flemington.
