South River, NJ- Carmela "Millie" (Nobile) Cosentino, 96, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena (Giannina) Nobile, she was raised in the Bronx, NY, and moved to Edison and Metuchen, NJ before settling to South River in 2008.
Carmela worked for the Edison Board of Education as an attendance officer for more than twelve years. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ.
Besides her parents, Carmela was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis R. Cosentino January 24, 1983 and her eleven siblings.
Carmela is survived by her two loving sons, Gerard and his wife Julie Cosentino of South River, NJ and Louis and his wife Josephine Cosentino of Flemington, NJ, four cherished grandchildren; Michael and his wife Cassandra, Christopher and his daughter, Liliana, as well as Daniel and Alyssa Cosentino. She will be deeply missed by her her sister, Rose Langer of Edison, NJ. She also leaves behind her many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 8:30-9:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9 beginning 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 9:45 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Monsignor Capik officiating. Committal words and burial will follow at Resurrection Park Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carmela's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or visit the website, https://shop.stjude.org .Wednesday
