Readington Township, NJ--Charles J. Carlevarini, 74, entered eternal life on Friday, April 23, 2010 at his home in Readington Township with his loving family by his side. Born in Staten Island, NY, he is the son of the late Charles J. and Florence (De Palma) Carlevarini.
Charles is a graduate of Curtis High School in Staten Island, as well as, School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He served his country with the United States Army from 1958-1960. Charles was a self-employed commercial artist, having worked in Manhattan. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Charles enjoyed taking care of his home, landscaping, planting and gardening. Spending time with his family especially his grandchildren was of the utmost importance to him.
Charles leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Elizabeth "Betty" A. (Mahoney) Carlevarini; his three loving children: daughter Elizabeth and Phil Gentile, daughter Caryn and Joe Santucci and his son Charlie and Sue Carlevarini; dear sister Delorous "Lori" and Joseph Doccola. He will be deeply missed by his eight cherished grandchildren: Philip and Nina Gentile, Amanda, Ava and Joseph Santucci and Anna, Charlie IV and Vincent Carlevarini.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27th beginning 10:15 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Charles will be entombed in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Annandale.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Monday, April 26th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 27th from 9:45 a.m. until service time.
