Hillsborough, NJ—Diane M. (Dohl) Knolmayer, 60, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 31, 2006 at Princeton Medical Center. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA to her late parents Donald and Mary (Kmetz) Dohl, she had lived in Hillsborough most of her life.
Diane had a passion for sewing. She was known by her family and friends to be the very best seamstress around. Many young women would boast her handy work at local Prom Nights. Diane worked for 30 years as a school bus driver for Frank D. Valcheck and for the past 5 years for Branchburgh Township Transportation. She had 35 years of cherished memories with many of the students on her routes. In some cases Diane brought two generations of families safely back and forth to school. She loved her job as a school bus driver. Diane's collection of dolls has been admired by many. She was very active at the Neshanic Reformed Church and their various committees.
Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Bruce G. Knolmayer, her cherished children; sons, Dr. Bruce R. Knolmayer and his wife Julie of Laytonsville, MD, David E. Knolmayer of Hillsborough. She will be sadly missed by her dear sisters, Mary Becker of Gettysburg, PA, Linda Holmes of Dubois, PA and Betsy Mott of Red Rock, PA and by her loved grandchildren Kayla and Kyle.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 9:15am from Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am religious service at the Neshanic Reformed Church in Hillsborough. Entombment will be at Somerset Hills Mausoleum in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 7-9pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm, and Tuesday from 8:30am until service time at the funeral home. Contributions in Diane's memory may be made to the Susan B.
