Obituary

Flemington, NJ- Diane Delores (nee Pietraszewski) Valcheck, 83, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at home. Born in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (nee Borowski) Pietraszewski, she had also resided in Bradley Gardens, NJ, Branchburg, NJ and Hillsborough, NJ before settling to Flemington 51 years ago.

Diane had worked for RCA in Bridgewater, NJ as a secretary for 27 years, retiring from RCA in 1987. She then went on to work as co-owner and a driver with Frank D. Valcheck Bus Company in Hillsborough, NJ from 1987-2003. She had attended services at the Hillsborough Reformed Church and Clover Hill Reformed Church both in Hillsborough, NJ. Diane's greatest passion and love was for horses, in particular the Arabian horse. She owned, rode, cared for, and bred Arabian horses for over 40 years and had brought them to shows for over 30 years. Diane enjoyed riding bicycle, walking, traveling to Canada, and caring for her yard.

Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her soulmate and partner, Frank Bruno; sister, Theresa Tirpok; brother, Walter Pietraszewski; and best friend, Betty Lou Craig.

Diane is survived by and will be deeply missed by seven dear nieces and nephews, Susan and her spouse Manny Pantermarakis, Sharon and her spouse Tom Skibbee, Stan and his spouse Amy Radomski, Kenneth Pietraszewski, Stan Pietraszewski and his spouse Kim, Joseph Pietraszewski and his spouse Kim, and Robert Pietraszewski; and many cherished great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 7-8 pm. with a memorial service at 8 p.m. officiated by Pastor Heather Wilson with the Clover Hill Reformed Church at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
