Jacksonville, FL – Dolores Marie Petrone, 72, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at home with loving family by her side. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, daughter of the late Henry Edward and Margaret (nee Kofity) Petrone, she was raised in Manville, NJ and lived in Bridgewater, NJ and Hillsborough, NJ before settling to Florida in 2013.

Dolores was a director of  research at a clinical research company in Cedar Knolls, NJ for many years and worked with most of the major oral health manufacturers in the United States and internationally. She was an avid trivia player and won many trivia contests, she traveled extensively in the United States and Europe, and was a steadfast NY Yankee baseball fan and New York Jets football fan.

Dolores was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra, FL and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ.

Dolores is survived by her loving sister, Margaret E. Petrone of Jacksonville, FL; as well as by a loving extended family including her godson, Cary Weischadle (Kristina); cousins, Ted Gajewski (Marianne), Janice Mercier, Betsy Weischadle (Ed), Barbara Mendel, Sandy Brooks (Ed), Kim  LaVecchia (Liana), Jadon Brooks (Valeria), Eden Brooks, Michael Gajewski (Joanna), Greg Gajewski (Lauren), John Gajewski (Amy), and Danielle Meichtry (Matt).

Dolores was a caring dog lover. She was predeceased by her beloved Missy and Clifford and had a special relationship with still living Charley,Tulip, Major, and Willow.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. At the family's request burial will be private.
