Raritan Township, NJ--Dominick Paul Fania, 64, passed away on July 7, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ, surrounded by his loving wife and three adoring children.  Born in Plainfield, NJ, son of Minnie (nee Mastroianni) Fania and the late Paul Fania, Sr. he is of Flemington, previously of Phillipsburg, NJ and Piscataway, NJ.

Dominick graduated from Piscataway High School in 1973 before joining the Steamfitters Local 475, working as a union pipefitter for thirty-eight years before retiring in August of 2017.

Dominick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, boating, and deer hunting.  Generous with his love, time, and talents; he had a natural aptitude for cooking and entertaining with his most cherished family and friends.  He celebrated everyday like a special occasion.  Dominick was a perfectionist and master craftsman who could build anything, fix anything, and who would come running to help anyone who called.

His primary accomplishment in life, however, was being a cherished husband and dedicated father, dear brother, and loving son. "Pop" was admired and worshiped by his grandchildren. He was a timeless family man who forged lifelong friendships.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his mother, Dominick is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patti" (nee Branch) Fania of Flemington; son, Michael Fania and his wife Vicky of Branchburg NJ, oldest daughter, Amy Fania Kensinger and her husband Baker of Palmyra, PA,  and youngest daughter, Lisa Fania of Phillipsburg NJ; sister Toni Ann and her husband Jimmy Petraglia, and brother, Paul Fania Jr. and his wife Valerie; and five grandchildren, Jack, Dominick, Luke, Pete, and Margot all of whom he adored and who adored him.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Dominick's life during the viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 US Highway 202 North Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, July 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Please note due to executive orders set by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy attendees must come with their own face covering and maintain 6 feet social distancing.  Private funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 11.  Dominick will be entombed at St. Magdalen Cemetery & Mausoleum in Flemington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dominick's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
