Raritan Township, NJ– Doris M. (nee Burns) McKnight, 92, entered into eternal life on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township. Born in Orange, NJ, daughter of the late Francis "Frank" and Ruth (nee Walgamuth) Burns, she grew up in Union Township, NJ before settling in Raritan Township in 1998.

Doris was a past parishioner at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington, NJ. As a homemaker, Doris took great pride in caring for her family.

Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert T. McKnight on October 14, 2012.

Doris is survived by her loving son, Robert J. McKnight and his wife Brenda of Flemington and a cherished granddaughter, Sarah McKnight.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, July 30 from 11-11:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m. with prayers officiated by Fr. Tom Odorizzi. The disposition will follow privately at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
