Obituary

Readington Township, NJ – Dorothy (Ziemski) Bodnar, 74, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 15, 2006 at University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Nanticoke, P A, she graduated from Sayreville High School and lived in Spotswood , NJ for over 20 years before moving to Readington Township thirty years ago.

Dorothy retired in 1995 from AT&T's Livingston office, where she had worked as an Administrative Assistant for twenty years. She was a faithful and dedicated communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges and was very active with various church groups and activities. She was formerly President of the church's Senior Citizen's Club.

Besides her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her devoted husband John J. Bodnar, who passed away in 1981 and her dear brother Frank A. Ziemski, who passed away in 1998.

Dorothy leaves behind her loving children; Catherine Bodnar and husband Richard Shadrach of Montgomery Township, David Bodnar and wife Nancy Getlan of Stamford, CT and John Bodnar of San Francisco, CA. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Mary Zelenak of Tucson, AZ and Barbara Pellecchia of Allentown, NJ and her cherished grandchildren; Jennifer, Richard and Andrew Shadrach.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 beginning 10:15am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 11:00am funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband John in St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 9:45am until service time. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Building Fund, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 or to the American Cancer Society, 600 First Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869.
