Warren, NJ- Edna Jean (nee Simonson) Connaughton, 94, entered into eternal life on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at The Chelsea Assisted Living in Warren, NJ. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Edgar and Catherine (nee Brown) Simonson, she moved to New Jersey after marriage.

Edna was the office manager for the Princeton Food Management in Princeton, NJ. Edna loved being around friends and family and enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, and dancing. One thing she loved more in life was spending quality time with adored grandchildren and cherished great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty years, Edward M. Connaughton, with whom she joined hands in marriage on February 18, 1945; son, Dennis Michael Connaughton; brother, Edgar Simonson; sister, Doris Simonson; and step-father, Fred Brower.

Edna leaves behind to cherish her memory, two loving children; daughter, Kathy Kloos and her husband Tom of Whitehouse Station, NY; son, Wayne Connaughton and his wife Karen of Hamburg, NY; seven cherished grandchildren; Michael Kloos, David Kloos, Erin Deluca, Megan Bock, Ryan Connaughton, Traci Mazzoli, and Holly Vignogna; and eight adored great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, June 7 2019 from 3-6 p.m. The memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m.

Edna will be laid to rest next to her husband Edward at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
