Raritan Township, NJ- Elizabeth M. (Shabaz) Jones, 87, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born in Chicago, IL to her late parents, Stephen and Charlotte (Lazar) Shabaz, she had been a resident of Philadelphia, PA from 1949 to 1995 before moving to Sellersville, PA and settling to Raritan Township in 2005.

Elizabeth enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Martin of Tours in Philadelphia for many years. She was very creative and had a passion for ceramics and sewing.

Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, William J. Jones in 2004.

Elizabeth leaves behind her loving children; Charlotte Freeman (Walter) of Holland, PA, Delsie Rook (Bruce) of Philadelphia, PA, Mariann Schlegel (Gregory) of Raritan Township, NJ, Michael Jones (Janice) of Swedesboro, NJ and William Jones, Jr. (Donna) of Dresher, PA. She will be deeply missed by her dear sisters Beatrice Isaac and Elsie Kammerer, both of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Michael, Kristina and Marybeth Freeman and Jessica and Erica Jones as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, January 13, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, January 14, from 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 beginning at 8:45 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Committal words and interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
