Beloved Mother & Grandmother

Raritan Township, NJ – Ellen A. (Reiser) Rizzo, 71, died on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Born in Queens, NY to her late parents Charles & Alice (Grief) Reiser, Ellen had resided in Jackson Heights Queens, NY, Astoria Queens, NY, Aberdeen and Holmdel, NJ before settling in Raritan Township four and a half years ago.

Ellen spent most of her time as a homemaker caring for her dear family. She had been employed as a registered nurse for several years at Misericordia Hospital in Bronx, NY. She was very proud of her accomplishments at Douglas College earning a BA in Art and History in 1987 and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Vincent J. who died May 27, 2001.

Ellen leaves behind her four loving children, three sons Vincent Rizzo of Howell, David C. Rizzo of Marlton, Stephen Rizzo of Raritan Township, and a daughter Donna M. Gittens of Howell, her dear brother Charles Reiser of North Port Long Island, NY and eleven cherished grandchildren all of whom will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2006 beginning 9:15am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Ellen will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington. Relatives and friends may attend calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday January 19, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm, and on Friday from 8:45am until service time.
