Whitehouse Station, NJ- Ernest "Ernie" A. Kindervatter, 64, entered into eternal life Sunday, December 20, 2015 in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late Ernest and Anne (Babincek) Kindervatter, he moved to Roselle in 1988 until he settled in Whitehouse Station in 1999.
Ernie studied at Arizona State before becoming a police officer for Irvington, NJ. He owned a gas station, K&K Gulf, Newark, NJ and later worked as a truck driver for International Corp in Hillside, NJ. He enjoyed doing the various landscaping and odd jobs that came with owning Honey Do Home Maintenance, Whitehouse Station. In his younger years, Ernie earned the Eagle Scout award. He adored spending time with his daughters camping, fishing, kayaking and going to the beach. He made an impression on everyone who met him during his many adventures.
Ernie is survived by his loving daughters, Jaime Kindervatter and Madison Kindervatter of Flemington. He will be deeply missed by two dear sisters, Donna and her husband Berek Novak of Phoenix, AZ and Debra Kindervatter of Wilmington, NC. His two cherished dogs, Penne and Jace, will miss the endless pets and generous treats he shared.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 6-8pm.
Disposition will be private. Donations can be made in Ernie's name to People for Animals, 401 Hillside Avenue, Hillside, NJ 07205 or to any animal rescue of your choice.
