Branchburg, NJ – Florence Eisnor (nee Cater) passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Daughter of the late Harry Frederick and Hilda (Halliday) Cater, she was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Garden City, Long Island, NY before settling to New Jersey in 1990.
Florence retired in 1979 from the Suburbia Federal Savings and Loan Association in Long Island as a tax clerk. She was a long-time member of the Cathedral of the Incarnation located in Garden City, Long Island.
Until the time of her death, Florence enjoyed fellowship each week at Covenant Chapel Reformed Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge. She was also blessed by spending time with her family, watching movies, reading books, and following news of the British Royal Family.
She is predeceased by her husband Ralph who passed away December 26, 1968, her daughter Carolyn Stamoulis who died August 16, 2009, and by her brother Ralph who died in 2011.
Florence leaves behind her loving and devoted daughter and sons-in-law, Adrienne and Jonathan Martin with whom she lived, and George Stamoulis of Carle Place, Long Island. She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren: Hannah, Ruth, Elizabeth and Martha Martin, and Theo and Dinos Stamoulis, and by her brother Robert Cater and his wife Elsa of Nutley.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
On Wednesday, June 6, 2012, family and friends are invited to gather directly at Covenant Chapel Reformed Episcopal Church, 127 West Oak Street, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 for a 10:00am funeral service. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery located in Valhallah, NY.
