Hillsborough, NJ – Frank P. Dorell III, 69, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at his residence in Hillsborough. Born in Newark, NJ to his late parents Frank and Jo Blanche (Dicton) Dorell Jr, he had lived in Somerville before settling to Hillsborough in 1968.

Frank retired from Dorell & Sons Locksmiths of Somerville in 1995 and was a member of the Master Locksmith Association of New Jersey. Frank started in the family business as a kid carrying his father's tools. He graduated from Lafayette University as an electrical engineer. Frank had a passion for sailing and was Past Commander of the Somerset Power Squadron. He was a winning photographer having at one time placed first, second and third at a show in Tuckerton. In his most recent years, Frank enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home. Frank had also served in the United States Coast Guard for five years and was a former member of his local Rotary Club.

Besides his parents Frank was also predeceased by an infant daughter Karen Ann who died in 1969. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce D. (Drake) Dorell, with whom he joined hands in marriage on June 24, 1961; his dear brother and wife John and Linda Dorell of Bridgewater and their children Jillian and Kenneth. He also leaves behind four special people who he considered nieces and nephews; Kolbe and Stryker also Kaitlynn and Kevin. Frank will greatly be missed by his many friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 beginning 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with burial to follow in Neshanic Cemetery in the Neshanic section of Hillsborough. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Frank's name may be sent to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301; American Diabetes Association, 200 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873 or to the charity of your choice.
