Hillsborough

Obituary

Hillsborough, NJ-On Saturday, May 6, 2017, Frieda Marlene (nee Binford) Spinelli died peacefully at Hunterdon Medical Center after a long series of illnesses. Raised in North Branch, NJ, Frieda graduated from Somerville High School in 1954 and continued to keep in touch with many of her classmates and close friends. In 1959, she moved to Hillsborough where she resided until her passing.

Over the years, Frieda worked in the Hillsborough school district and community in numerous capacities as an employee and energetic volunteer. She took great pride in being an active member of various township sports programs, including, the Hillsborough Dukes and Dukettes, Raider Wrestling and Touchdown Clubs, to name just a few.

Frieda's greatest joy and passion was her large family.   In 1955 she married the love of her life, Richard with whom she went on to raise five devoted sons: Richard "Butch," James (Lisa), Steven (Mara), Robert (Kim), and Michael (Dawn). She was often seen showing pictures of, sharing stories about, or ardently cheering on her ten beloved grandchildren at a myriad of athletic events and other activities: Nicholas, Thomas, Josephine, Anthony, Madison, Marc, Samantha, Paige, Christopher, and Ryan.

Frieda's home was always full of love and laughter, and she welcomed all visitors and friends with open arms. Generous and feisty, she was one-of-a kind and will be deeply missed.
