Gail B. Jones (née Parneg), 85, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center, with loving family by her side.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Gail was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Nina Parneg (née Adash). She spent her early childhood, through first grade, in Brooklyn before her family moved to the New Market section of Piscataway, where she was raised. Gail attended Metuchen High School (class of 1959) where she met her husband, Wayne F. Jones. Gail and Wayne married on September 17, 1960, and together raised their family in Piscataway before settling into the home they built in Readington in 1976.
Gail built a career and life rooted in kindness and service. She retired after many years as an assistant manager at Liberty Village in Flemington, where she was known not only for her dedication, but also for the genuine friendships she shared with her coworkers.
Gail found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved crafting, painting, tending to her garden, and creating treasured memories while cruising. She generously shared her time as a volunteer with the Flemington Food Pantry, finding great fulfillment in helping others. She was also a proud member of the Hunterdon Happy Tappers, where she combined her love of music, dance, and friendship while rehearsing with the group.
Faith was the cornerstone of Gail's life. As a devoted member of Three Bridges Reformed Church, she faithfully served on numerous committees over the years and found purpose, fellowship, and lasting friendships within her church family.
More than anything, Gail was devoted to those she loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, celebrating life's milestones, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her brother, Albert Parneg; her sister, Agnes Bickar; and her beloved Aunt Agnes Pesce.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 66 years, Wayne F. Jones. She is also survived by her daughter, Bonnie Riche and her husband, Wayne, of Readington; her son, Brian Jones and his wife, Judith, of Readington; and her five cherished grandchildren: Lucas Jones and his wife, Vanessa; Lily Riche and her husband, Mike Soklaski; Jake Jones; Nolan Riche; and Gabby Jones.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 US-202, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
