Raritan Township, NJ – Gaspar Lombardia, 77, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in Baracoa-Oriente, Cuba, son of the late Manuel Antonio and Brigida (nee Matos) Lombardia, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Elizabeth, NJ. He recently moved to Raritan Township.
Gaspar was a dedicated employee at Rotuba Extruders in Linden, NJ as a foreman for over forty-seven years. His passion was his family. Gaspar "lived" to FaceTime with his two precious grandkids. A dedicated father; an amazing grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gaspar is survived by his devoted wife of forty-eight years, Silvia (nee Pascual) Lombardia with whom he joined hands in Holy Matrimony in 1969; loving daughter, Sylvia and her husband Michael Tamayo of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and two cherished grandchildren, Gabi and Mike.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, April 24 from 5-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:45 p.m. The disposition will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Gaspar's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
