Three Bridges, NJ— Gertrude K. (nee Kawiecki) Neis,  97, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at home with loving family by her side. Born and raised in Elmhurst, NY, daughter of the late John and Patrenella (nee Czajkowski) Kawiecki, she lived in Flushing, NY for about 50 years before settling in Three Bridges in 2007.

Gertrude was a woman of faith. She spent endless hours at her church. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, where she was a member of the Lazarus Ministry, Women's Spirituality Group, and Rosary Group. As a Eucharistic Minister, Gertrude dedicated her time to bringing the Eucharist to parishioners who could not attend mass. While living in New York she enjoyed teaching CCD for many years. An avid reader, Gertrude was well known at the Flemington Public Library. Everyone knew her on the Link as she often took trips to the Hunterdon Cardiac Rehab where she was very active, and to Flemington, where she loved to shop. Gertrude had been a secretary for CBS Incorporated in New York for many years before retirement.

Besides her parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Neis; sisters, Eleanor Minet and Jane Barber; and nephew, Gerard Barber.

Gertrude is survived by two loving children, Nancy and her husband, James Pardini of Flemington, NJ and Wayne Neis and his wife, Barbara of Williamsburg, VA; four cherished grandchildren, J. Christopher Pardini, Katherine Stone, Matthew Pardini, and Jonathan Neis; five adored great grandchildren, Hayden, Mia, Eric, Luca and Emily Pardini; and nephew, Kenneth Barber.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20, from 9:30-10:15 a.m.  Funeral services will begin on Saturday, April 20, from the funeral home with transfer prayers at 10:15 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges.  On Monday, April 22, at 11:00 a.m. committal words and interment will take place at Mt.
