Raritan Township, NJ – Helen H. (Hatala) Beyer, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Born in Garfield, NJ to her late parents John and Anna Hatala, she had lived in Newark and Union before settling to the Flemington section of Raritan Township forty-eight years ago.
In 1994, Helen retired from Hunterdon Medical Center where she worked in the Patient Education Department as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Flemington and Shanty Shifters Camping Club. She enjoyed attending local theatrical performances with her family and friends, was an avid gardener and chairman of the buildings and grounds committee at Concord Ridge.
Helen leaves behind her beloved husband, Hans L. Beyer, with whom she joined hands in marriage on October 30, 1949, her loving children; son Tom Beyer and daughter and son-in-law Susan and Joel Reimer all of the Flemington section of Raritan Township. She will be missed dearly by her cherished sister Ann Riedlinger of Union and by her three adored grandchildren; Jindy, Jennifer and Carlye and by her three precious great grandsons; Kyle, Kolby and Dylan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 beginning 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with burial to follow in Prospect Hills Cemetery in Flemington. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 6-9pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time.
