Helen Ann Huber, aged 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at home. Helen was born in the South Ozone area of Queens, New York, to her late parents, Joseph and Dolores (née Ganter) Huber, and grew up in Howard Beach, New York. She subsequently lived in Holmdel, New Jersey, before making Branchburg, New Jersey her home in 1978.
Helen graduated from Stella Maris Catholic High School located in Rockaway, Queens, New York, with the Class of 1969. Subsequently, she obtained her undergraduate degree from CW Post in Brookville, Long Island, New York, graduating with the Class of 1973. Finally, Helen achieved her master's degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, completing her studies with the Class of 1976.
Helen commenced her professional journey at Bell Labs located in Holmdel. Subsequently, she continued her career at AT&T in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and later at Telcordia in Piscataway, New Jersey. Helen held the position of Project Management Director at Ericsson in Piscataway, until her retirement in 2005.
As a dedicated homemaker, Helen ensured her family had everything they needed and cherished the moments spent with them. Helen actively contributed to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare in Madison, New Jersey, as well as to Tabby's Place, a cat sanctuary dedicated to rescuing cats in Ringoes, New Jersey. She also volunteered her time at the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (SHIP) located in Somerville, New Jersey. During her free time, Helen found joy in gardening and caring for her family's pets. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, New Jersey.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Kenneth C. "KC" Garner, with whom she joined hands in Holy Matrimony on September 10, 1978; her loving son Corey and his wife Megan of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania; and two cherished grandchildren, Eliot and Sloane.
A memorial visitation will take place at Countryside Funeral Home, located at 724 US Highway 202, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Saturday, November 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, V.F., KCHS, officiating. Helen's final disposition will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to Tabby's Place, 1100 US 202, Ringoes, NJ 08551 or to a charity of your choice.
