Lebanon, NJ – Ingeborg "Inge" Wieland, 96, entered eternal life on April 20, 2024, at her home with her devoted family at her side. Born in Vechta, Germany on January 11, 1928, she was the youngest of thirteen children. She immigrated to America in January of 1954, six weeks after her husband, Julius Wieland. They were married in March of 1955, on Long Island, and began their lives together in Richmond Hill, Queens, New York.

Together, they were determined to live the American dream, and it was complete with three children: Charles, Diann, and Elisabeth. They passed on their German traditions to their children, as well as acclimated to the American traditions. As a result, they created a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.

Inge was a special and wonderful woman and loved by all. She was known as everyone's Oma, no matter their relation. People flocked to her since she was usually sharing Apfel Schnapps and singing traditional German songs. She spread her love and joy through crochet and knitting and made sure everyone was warm with her creations. From socks to blankets, mittens, and scarves, that's how she will be remembered. Loving and special.

Inge was predeceased by her beloved husband Julius Wieland in 2002, and her daughter Diann McGuigan in 2014 (Edward).

Inge is survived by her children; Charles Wieland and wife Kathy of Georgia, VT, and Elisabeth Ratanski and husband Phil of Lebanon, NJ; grandchildren; Jennifer McGuigan, Meagan McGuigan, Kristina McGuigan, Brittany LaBerge (Matt), Kristen Coulson (Kyle), Caitlin Wieland (Hagop Kayayan), Daniel Ratanski (Tia), Alyssa Wieland, Christopher Ratanski, Caroline Ratanski, Taylor Wieland, and Erin Wieland, and great-grandchildren; Nikolai, Callum, Nate, Liam, Layla, Charlotte, Iris, and Sophia. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, both here and in Germany and countless number of neighbors and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 1-4 p.m.

Funeral services will begin on Monday, April 29 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin officiating.
