West Caldwell, NJ—Irma (nee Leoncavallo) Pehnke, 89, entered into eternal life on Friday, August 3, 2018 at West Caldwell Care Center in West Caldwell.  Born in Union City, NJ, daughter of the late Raffaele and Antoinette (nee Gustazzi) Leoncavallo, she was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, NJ.

Irma retired after many years of dedicated employment with Hanz & Fritz in Bridgewater as a bus driver.  Irma was a nature lover.  She enjoyed taking care of her home and gardens.  Feeding the birds was a favorite pastime of hers.  Irma also enjoyed creating artificial floral arrangements, cooking, painting, and coloring.  While in Irma's company it would not be unusual to hear the music of Frank Sinatra whom she loved.

Besides her parents, Irma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fredrick Pehnke, who preceded her in 1998; and her daughter, Cheryl Osborn in 2002.  She was also predeceased by her six siblings, as she was the youngest.

Irma is survived by her cherished granddaughter, Lori Ann Marulli.

Relatives and friends are invited to join to together on Monday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Mausoleum, 551 Route 28, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 for committal words and entombment.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Irma's name to Eleventh Hour Rescue, 861 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, PO Box 431, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.  Irma's granddaughter, Lori, would like you to share a memory, a story, or any thoughts you have of her grandmother.
