Jim Joyce of Flemington, NJ passed away at the young age of 64 (1 month shy of his 65 ^th birthday) after an extremely tough battle with COVID-19 for 31 days at Hunterdon Medical Center. His sons Devin A. Joyce and Tyler T. Joyce, and Denise Blunda-Joyce were by his side when he passed.

Born in Manhattan of Catherine Clark and Howard Joyce, Jim grew up and worked in the Bronx before moving to New Jersey. Jim is survived by his two adoring sons, Devin (almost 27) and Tyler (almost 23), ex-wife and good friend Denise. Also survived by his sister Pat Weir and her three children Craig, Jennifer Ramellini (husband Robert and their children Connor and Caden) and Collin Weir (wife Danielle and their children Hudson and Hadley) and his brother and Sister-In-Law Dennis and Barbara Joyce. Jim loved going to Manasquan and spending lots of time at the beach with his family.

Jim is also survived by his close family of in-laws ….. Annette (like a mother to him), "Sister" Terry Blunda, "Brothers" Anthony and Tommy Blunda (Tommy's wife Jennifer and their children Tommy Jr., Bella and Olivia), Uncle Tom Tudisco and wife Priscilla. He spent a lot of time with them also going to dinner and attending the Christmas Eve celebration!

EVERYONE will remember his famous Joyces' Irish Cream …. Delicious and no one could ever get enough!

Jim spent his entire career working in the Cosmetics / Nail Enamel industry. The old Revlon and Kirker/Tevco folks were like family to him. Although mostly travelling for business, he was extremely fortunate to see many places around the world where each journey led to more bonding friendships with colleagues.

He had numerous long-time friends of 20, 30 and 40 years with whom he spent a lot of time with camping, fishing, playing tennis and bike riding. The outpouring of support, prayers, love, tears and countless stories about Jim were a true testament to his character. Great man, great friend!

Most proud of his two sons Devin and Tyler who were raised to be the fine, respectful, talented young men they are today. They were brave and strong throughout the last six weeks and will endure much more in the weeks to come. They loved their Dad and he loved them. The three of them were blessed having taken a trip to Iceland last November for which they will have lasting memories and pictures that capture a time before his illness.

Denise and Jim remained very close all these years and did things together as a family unit. They shared a lifetime of wonderful memories and lots of laughs. Again, their two wonderful sons were always their number one priority.

When social distancing becomes a memory, we will celebrate Jim's life together. Until that time, please remember Jim as a "one of a kind" man. Family man, mentor and good friend …. He was never without a smile or a joke to tell!

Devin and Tyler are researching a COVID-19 fund for donations as research in this field is certainly lacking. Specific donation information will be announced via social media as soon as the details are confirmed.
