James "Jim" M. Hall died peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at his home in East Amwell Township. He was 69 years old.



Jim was born in Tuscolo, Illinois in 1942. He was the son of the late James M. Hall, Sr. and Madonna Faye Wade Hall of Mt. Carmel, Illinois.




Jim served honorably in the United States Army as a radio operator in the 595th Signal Corp., 1st U.S. Army. Following his service, he worked for New Jersey Bell. After studying computer programming, Jim worked for American Can, Olympia, and Warner Lambert as an IT Manager and Director prior to venturing out on his own as an independent computer consultant and establishing HRW Associates in 1985.





Jim was a lover of life and people whose passions over the years were skiing, sailing, motorcycling, running, bicycling and cheering for the N.Y. Giants and Mets. His hobbies included history, science, geology, and the arts. Jim's travels took him all over the United States, Asia, and Europe.




His greatest joy was his family. He is survived and deeply missed by his wife, Joanne, sons, Jeff, Erik, Tyler and Jonathan, his daughter-in-law, Christie, and his two adored grandchildren, Jacob and Phoebe. Jim is also survived by his sisters, Marsha Poland, Susan Snell, Julie Seibert and brother, Peter Hall. Other cherished family members include, brother and sister-in-law, Arlene and Bob Worth, niece, Mellissa Pennington and her husband Donnie, niece Caralyn Andres, nephew Christopher Worth and seven grand nieces and nephews.





Jim was a caring and helpful person and he served passionately for 15 years on the East Amwell Township School Board in addition to volunteering as a coach of his son's youth sport's teams for many years.



He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and respected colleagues. On behalf of Jim and his family, we appreciate the outpouring of generosity and love from our family, neighbors and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, January 16 from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lambertville, NJ. Jim will be burried at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
