Three Bridges, NJ— James "The King" Stoveken, 63, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ, surrounded by loving family. Born in Somerville, NJ, son of James and Beverley (Keller) Stoveken, he resided in Somerville before settling in Three Bridges.
Upon graduation from Somerville High School, James was employed with Baker & Taylor before joining Ethicon in Bridgewater, NJ, where he was a needle-maker for forty one years. He loved traveling with family, especially on cruises with his wife. He was incredibly smart and excelled at trivia games, which he often played with his daughter. More often than not, he won!
James was predeceased by his mother, Beverley, in 2015.
James is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-one years, Theresa (Kacsmar) Stoveken; and devoted children, Amanda and David. He will be deeply missed by his loving father, James and stepmother, Ruth; as well as his dear brother, Kenny and his wife Vicki and dear sister, Nancy. He loved all of his many nieces and nephews, especially his niece, Tracy. He also leaves behind many of his children's friends, who looked upon him as a second father.
