Belvidere, NJ—Janice Ann (Hockridge) Jacobs, 65, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at her home with her loving and supportive family by her side. Born in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late Stanley and Jessie (Hart) Hockridge, she had been a resident of New Jersey all of her life.
Janice was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, Class of 1964. She had worked at AT&T as a project manager for many years and also satisfied her entrepreneurial spirit in several start-up businesses. Her wonderful sense of humor, blonde hair, beautiful smile and generous nature brightened any room in which she entered. After retirement, Janice enjoyed spending most of her time with her two girls and her many grandchildren.
Janice is predeceased by her husband, Edward Scrape, and survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Scott Keim of Hamilton, NJ, and Tyler and Tom Knight of Belvidere and a dear brother William Hockridge of Nashville, TN. She will be deeply missed by her eight cherished grandchildren and her best friend, Linda Tesauro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, April 22 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services will begin 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at Countryside Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Eckert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janice's memory to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, P.O. Box 159, 575 Woodland Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940.
