Jessie (Czeslawa) Paczynski passed away peacefully of heart failure on June 7, 2020, at the age of 99, weeks prior to her 100th birthday. She resided in Mountainside, New Jersey, before moving to Toms River, New Jersey.
Jessie was born in Newark, NJ, to Stanislaus and Agnieszka (Herchel) Skrzyniarz on July 6, 1920. At the age of five, Jessie moved to Irvington, NJ where she graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus School in 1934 and Irvington High School in 1938. She also graduated from the Fels and Tarrant Business School in 1940 and worked as a bookkeeper for Union Carbide until 1946. Jessie married her beloved husband, Henry, in 1945 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until Henry's passing in 2011.
A talented cook, Jessie loved to prepare home cooked meals for family and was an excellent baker. She will especially be remembered for all of her delicious Polish foods. With a particular interest in fashion, Jessie enjoyed designing and sewing clothes for her family and her daughter's dolls. She took great pride in her ensembles. Additionally, Jessie was an avid card player and was a member of two Bridge clubs while she lived in Toms River.
Jessie and Henry loved to travel, exploring many countries within Europe and the Caribbean. They also traveled extensively throughout the United States, with particular fondness for the National Parks, Alaska and Hawaii.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Henry; her son, Gregory; her sisters, Stanislawa Skrzyniarz and Laura Hanlon; as well as her brother, Eugene Skrynas.
Jessie and Henry had three children: Gregory, Ronald and Diane. Jessie leaves her son, Ronald and his wife Maryann, along with their two children: Ronald, Jr. and his wife, Blair; and Catherine and her husband, Scott.
Jessie is also survived by her daughter, Diane, and her husband, Steven Krupa, of Connecticut, along with their three daughters: Nicole, and her husband, Roy Gross, or Connecticut; Jaclyn Krupa and her fiancé, Joseph Edell, of Minnesota; and Kristina and her husband, Kevin St. Pierre, of Connecticut.
Jessie leaves her beloved seven great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Margaret; Maximilian and John; Gabriel and Zoey Gross; and Norah St. Pierre.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. A Memorial Mass will be held in the future.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Independence Manor at Hunterdon in Flemington, NJ for their wonderful care.
