Readington Township, NJ – Johanna Elizabeth (Zaludek) Simon, 93, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Hunterdon Care Center in the Flemington section of Raritan Township. The ninth child born to her late parents Nicholas and Elizabeth (Brinska) Zaludek in Moconaqua, PA, she had lived in Three Bridges and Somerville.
She worked at Johns-Manville, Inc. and RCA for a little while, but she best loved spending her time as a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and crafts. She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Raritan and belonged to the Raritan Valley Slavic Cultural and Heritage Society.
Besides her parents, Johanna is predeceased by her husband Louis G. Simon who passed away in 1978, her dear siblings; John and Stephen Zaludek, Mary Wirth, Sophie Birnirt, Antoinette Wirzman and by two infant siblings and by her grandson Robert Housel.
Johanna is survived by her devoted children; son and daughter-in-law Robert Louis and D'Marie Simon of Del Mar, Ca. and daughters and son-in-law Carol and Raymond Kindt of Flemington and Roberta Housel of Bloomsbury and she also leaves behind her six cherished grandchildren, twelve adored great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews all of whom will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2007 beginning with visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 from 9:00am until 11:00am. A religious service will take place at 11:00am with Rev. Kenneth R. Kolibas officiating, Pastor of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Raritan. Johanna will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Bridgewater. Memorial contributions in Johanna's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
