Hillsborough, NJ – John Horyd, 59, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in Poland to his late parents Jozef and Genowefa (Piasecki) Horyd, He moved to the United States from Europe in 1965. He resided in Branchburg and settled to Hillsborough 27 years ago.

John was a retired Machinist with Ethicon. He was a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, a member of the Polish Falcons Camp in Hillsborough and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.

Surviving John is his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Muriel (Poplawski) Horyd and his adored daughters Jennifer and husband Andrew Snow of Washington DC and Michelle J. Horyd of New Orleans, LA.

A memorial mass reflecting on John's life will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 beginning 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
