Obituary

Neshanic Station, NJ- John F. Nobile, 77, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in New York, NY, son of the late Frank and Josephine ( Russo) Nobile, he was raised in Brooklyn, NY before settling to Neshanic Station in 1987.
John began playing trombone in his freshman year of high school (1954) at New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, NY.  He continued playing throughout college with the NYU Orchestra, and after being drafted continued playing in the 77 th Infantry Division Band of the U.S. Army.  After a branch transfer to the Air Force, he played for several years with the 552 nd Air Force Band stationed in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts.  After his discharge, John organized the "Sound of Society Orchestra" in NYC playing club dates for several years in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut area.
John stopped playing to pursue a Master's degree in business Administration at Fordham University, and to establish a food flavor business, Arome America, LLC. John was President & CEO of Armoe America.  After 25 years of absence from the music business, John formed the "Summer Swing Orchestra" in 1997.
John's other interests include boating, fishing, golf and antique automobile collecting.  He currently owns a 1956 Chris-Craft speed boat, a 1930 Model A Ford, a 1933 Chevrolet Coupe, and a 1956 Alfa Romeo Spyder Veloce.
John is survived by his dear wife, Geraldine (Gerri) C. Nobile and his loving children; Jennifer Arvonio, Liana Nobile and Raquel Nobile. He will also be missed by his two cherished grandchildren, Michael Arvonio and Jaclyn Arvonio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday, April 17 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17 beginning 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Gerard Knapp, CSSR  officiating. Committal words and burial will follow at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the American Diabetes Association
