Flemington, NJ- John L. Pellegrino, 87, entered into eternal life on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Hunterdon Medical Center surrounded by loving family. Born in Plainfield, NJ, son of the late Michael and Marianna (Cerreto) Pellegrino, he resided in North Plainfield most of his life before moving to Virginia for seventeen years and returning to Flemington three years ago.

John faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from 1950 to 1952 in the Signal Corps. He retired after forty two years from M.A.N. Roland (formerly Wood Industries) in Middlesex, NJ where he was a machinist and toolmaker. John was an avid Yankee and NY Giants fan, loved to build and repair just about anything, and had a passion for gardening and fishing.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by one brother and five sisters.

John is survived by his cherished wife of sixty three years, Ralphine (Jacobs) Pellegrino. He leaves behind his devoted children; Michael Pellegrino and wife Susan of Whitehouse Station, Joann Pellegrino of Lebanon, NJ, Marianne Toth of Three Bridges, NJ, and Linda Leach and husband Kenneth of Readington Twp. He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren; Eric Pellegrino, Elizabeth Pellegrino, Emily Smeraldi, Christopher Leach and Joseph Toth, as well as his great grandchildren, Ryanne Pellegrino and Thomas Pellegrino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, April 8, from 4 to 8 p.m.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr. Thomas Serafin officiating. At the family's request, disposition will be private.
