Flemington NJ– John Joseph Rowe, 74, entered eternal life on Sunday, April 27, 2014 on the Feast of Divine Mercy, at home with loving family by his side. Born in Newark, NJ, son of the late John and Clementine (Littell) Rowe, he grew up in Newark and then lived in Old Bridge, NJ prior to settling in Flemington three years ago.

John had worked for Bristol Meyers formerly in Hillside, NJ as a packaging engineer. He served his country during the Korean War as an SP4 with the United States Army. John was a faithful communicant of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. He loved fishing, hunting, and caring for his family.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by a son, Matthew Rowe and his brother, Robert Rowe.

John leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of nineteen years, Anne Helena (Byrne) Rowe with whom he joined hands in marriage on June 10, 1994. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Mark Rowe and John Patrick Rowe, both of Millington, NJ; and Anne's children, William Tracy of Mountainside, NJ, Kathleen Largey of Middletown, NJ, Daniel Tracy of Flemington, Michael Tracy of Union, NJ, Sharon Meyer of Middlesex, NJ, and Matthew Tracy of Flemington, and twelve cherished grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, April 28 from 6-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 29 from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington with Fr. Tim Christy officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington.
