Obituary

Raritan Township, NJ – Joseph T. Gaydos, 81, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Born in Plainfield to his late parents John and Elizabeth (Danyo) Gaydos, Uncle Joe resided in Middlesex before moving to Flemington over 35 years ago.

Uncle Joe faithfully served his country during World War II with the United States Navy. Uncle Joe had worked for over fifty years as a service technician with Verizon/NJ Bell Tell and was a lifetime member of Verizon Telecom Pioneers. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges and was one of the most generous donators of the numerous charitable organizations he had come across.

Besides his parents Uncle Joe is predeceased by his two brothers; Stephen and Andy Gaydos and his sister Anne Dahms.

Uncle Joe leaves behind his dear sister-in-laws; Mary and Ann Gaydos both of Florida. He also leaves behind his cherished nephew Stephen and wife Sandy Gaydos of Altmar, NY, and nieces Ginger and husband Roger Stranzenbach of Neshanic, Carol and husband Dr. James Tenney of Monmouth Lakes, CA, and Jeanne and husband Ernie Sehringer of Jacksonville, FL. Uncle Joe will be deeply missed by his 13 loving great nieces and nephews and by his 13 adored great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 beginning 10:30am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by an 11:00am funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Curch in Three Bridges with Fr. Shaun Winters officiating. Uncle Joe will be laid to rest at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm and on Saturday from 9:00am until service time.
