Joseph Stanley "Joe" Markowski Jr.'s Obituary
Flemington, NJ – Joseph Stanley "Joe" Markowski, Jr., 66, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at home with loving family by his side. Born in Bayonne, NJ, son of the late Joseph Stanley and Lorraine (nee Wieszczek) Markowski, Sr., he was raised in Linden, NJ, then settled to Flemington in the early 1980's.
Joe retired in 2014 after thirty-seven years of dedicated employment with ExxonMobil in Annandale, NJ, as a lab research technician. He was born and raised Catholic and found a renewed faith recently. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed woodworking, driving his boat in the Barnegat Bay near his shore home, and caring for his pet parrots.
Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his first wife, Halina (nee Czomko) Markowski.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Lauren Terri (nee Pedersen) Markowski with whom he joined hands in marriage on May 15, 1993. He will be missed dearly by two loving children, Stefanie and her husband John Krewinski of Lebanon Township, NJ and Joseph Stanley Markowski, III of St. Louis, MO.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, March 21, from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 22, from 9:45-10:15 a.m. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 22, at 10:15 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr.
