Branchburg, NJ – Joseph Peter "Joe" Sanders, 60, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his home.  Born in Newark, NJ, son of the late Peter J. and Constance T. (nee Cortese) Szefczek, he spent most of his life in Branchburg but also spent time in Flemington, NJ, East Brunswick, NJ, and Sarasota, FL.

Joe was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1978 and Rutgers University where he earned his BA in English literature.  Additionally, he earned a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Kaiser University in Florida, where he was named as the Valedictorian for his graduating class.  He worked as a clerk for AT&T in Basking Ridge, NJ for eighteen years retiring in 2002.  Joe also taught ESL for Arrieta Institute in Bound Brook, NJ.  He enjoyed watching baseball and football, salsa dancing, and painting.

Joe is survived by his dear sister, Mary and her husband Thomas Bailey of Tabernacle, NJ; dear brother, Stephen Sanders and his fiancée Christine Grady of Belmar, NJ; cherished nephew and nieces, Michael Sanders and his wife Danielle, Hannah Bailey and her husband Markeus Gilbert, and Rachel Bailey; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
