Whitehouse Station, NJ – Joseph Giacomo Ursini, 87, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at home with loving family by his side.  Joseph was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Erickson) Ursini, he had resided in Kearny, NJ, Massachusetts, California, Florida, and settled back to New Jersey to live with his daughter Maria two years ago.

Joseph faithfully served his country from 1956 to 1962 with the United States Army as a sergeant.  Some of his military time was spent in Korea after the Korean War.  He earned several medals including one for marksmanship.  Joseph retired after many years of dedicated employment most notably Digital Equipment Corp. in Marlboro, MA as a project manager.  Joseph had been a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church while living in Kearny.  Joseph loved woodworking and music.  Family was also of importance to Joseph, he enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beside his parents, Joseph was predeceased by a son, Peter Justin Ursini; brothers, James Ursini and Billy Ursini; and his ex-wife, Josephine Maria (nee Russo) Ursini.

Joseph is survived by four loving children, Maria and her husband Timothy Kenny, Joseph Ursini and his wife Lyndsey, Valarie Hansen, and John Ursini.  He will be missed dearly by two dear brothers, Carmello Ursini and John Andrews; six cherished grandchildren, Dominick Ursini, Mark Kenny, Elizabeth Ursini, Ryan Kenny, Daniel Kenny and his wife Corina, and Isabelle Burns; and two adored great-grandchildren, Regan Ursini and Liliana Kenny, plus one on the way.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, July 5 from 5-8:30 p.m.  The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, KCHS, officiating.  Committal words and military honors will follow.  The disposition will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 140 Disabled American Veterans Highway, Suite 200, Bedminster, NJ 07921 .
