Whitehouse Station, NJ– Joseph "Joe" A. Vasnelis, 56, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, son of George Vasnelis and the late Emma (Jannen) Vasnelis, formerly of Linden, he settled to Whitehouse Station 22 years ago.
Joe was an instrument technician with Flemington Instrument of Flemington and was a member of Local IBEW #164. Joe was a member of the Radio Control Airplane Club and the Bass Master Fishing Club. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Joe leaves behind his beloved wife Debra E. (Essex) Vasnelis with whom he joined hands in marriage on September 24, 1977; his loving and devoted sons: Timothy J. Vasnelis of Sarasota, FL and Patrick A. Vasnelis of Whitehouse Station and his dear brother George and his wife Dee Vasnelis of Scotch Plains. He leaves behind many cherished family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
