Hewitt, NJ –Karol Bernadic, 65, entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at home.  Born in Cifer, Slovakia, son of the late Karol and Jozefina (nee Heckova) Bernadic, he immigrated to the United States of America in 1984.  He resided in Upper Saddle River, NJ prior to settling in Hewitt in 1985.

Karol completed his formal education and earned a bachelor's degree while living in Slovakia.  He was president, owner, and founder of Karol Bernadic Construction Company Inc., which he incorporated in 1994.  To say that Karol was humble, caring, generous, charitable, and selfless only began to describe his character.  He was an intrepid person, the perfect host, and the ultimate expression of one who lends a helping hand.  He enjoyed being with his fellow man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents, Karol was predeceased by his only nephew, Jeffrey Marshall.

Karol is survived by his dear sister, Ludmilla and her husband Jeffrey Marshall of Branchburg, NJ; cherished niece, Jennie Jozefina Marshall; cousin, Jozef Osusky; and business partner and best friend, Mario Putera.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 24 from 3-4 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08807 with a prayer service beginning at 4 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made in Karol's name www.nami.org for Mental Illness Awareness.
