Three Bridges, NJ- Kathleen A. Cleary, 68, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at McAuley Hall Healthcare Center in Watchung. Born in Greenville, SC, daughter of the late James Leo and Grace M. (Victory) Cleary, she grew up in Glen Rock, NJ where she attended grammar school and then Piscataway where she attended high school. After receiving a bachelor's degree in education from Villa Maria College (currently Gannon University) in Erie, PA, she settled to Three Bridges.
Kathleen had over twenty-five years of dedicated employment with AT&T in Morristown where she was the director of international billings and was also an elementary school teacher with Bound Brook Public Schools. She was a volunteer at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Kathleen was an active communicant with the parish community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. She liked traveling and cultural events including theatre and ballet. Her times spent in Avalon/Stone Harbor was her favorite pastime.
Kathleen is survived by her loving brother, John Cleary of Falmouth, MA and by her loving sister, Sister Mary Cleary, RSM of Keansburg. She will be deeply missed by her dear Uncle Thomas J. Victory and many dear cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, January 7 from 3-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 8 from 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8 beginning 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Committal words and interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen's name to either McAuley Hall Healthcare Center, 1633 Highway 22 West, Watchung, NJ 07069 or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
