Kathleen R.
Wilkinson
May 27, 1937 — Jul 17, 2021
On Saturday, July 17, 2021, Kathleen Regina Wilkinson, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away at the age of 84.
Kathleen was born on May 27, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ to Catherine and Anthony Serio. In addition to being a homemaker, she was also a secretary to her beloved boss John Havey at Somerset County Veterans Services in Somerville, NJ and at the Somerset County Office on Aging. In 1959, she married Gerald Keoghan and gave birth to Gerald (Jr.) and Jody Lynn. After her husband Gerald Keoghan's untimely death in 1967, Kathleen met and married Arthur J. Wilkinson, and the family moved first to North Arlington, and then in 1971 to rural Branchburg, NJ.
Kathleen loved to shop, go to the movies, and eat in restaurants with her close friends whom she treasured. When she was younger, she enjoyed visiting Ireland and England with Arthur, and family vacations to Disneyworld, Williamsburg, and Lancaster to name a few. Her family meant everything to her, and she sacrificed so that her children could enjoy camp each summer when they were young. She was known for her agreeable nature, sweetest disposition, her unconditional love and her beautiful blue eyes.
The world just became a little dimmer with Kathleen gone.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her former husband Jerry, her father Anthony, her mother Catherine, and beloved aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children Gerald Jr. and Jody (Lisa), her sister Barbara (Bielawski), and beloved grandson Jayson as well as her niece Bonnie – in addition to other extended family.
