Neshanic Station, NJ- Kenneth Harney, Sr., 87, entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at home in Neshanic Station with loving family by his side. Born in New York City, NY, son of the late Michael and Agnes (Hyde) Harney, he resided in Piscataway, NJ for forty years and then spent ten years in Flemington, NJ before his last several months in Neshanic Station.

Kenneth was honorably discharged from the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during World War II as a sergeant. He retired after over thirty years of dedicated employment as a truck driver with W.T. Cowan in Jersey City, NJ. He loved to travel and spend time at the shore, especially LBI.


Kenneth is predeceased by his first wife, Camilla Harney and his second wife, Florence Harney. He is survived by three loving children, Lynne and Carmen Centofanti of Florence, NJ, Keith Harney and Dee of Flemington, and Kenneth Harney and Lou Ann of Neshanic Station. He will be deeply missed by six cherished grandchildren, Christopher Centofanti, Kate Harney, Mike Harney, Brianna Harney, Amanda Harney, and Luke Harney.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Saturday, January 17 from 12-4 p.m. Military honors will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. and religious ceremonies at 3:30 p.m.
