Obituary

Kim Cantilina Kimberly Beth “Kim” (née Angstadt) Cantilina, aged 62, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, August 21, 2026, at home with her loving husband by her side. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Angela (née Milloni) Angstadt, and was raised in Oakland, New Jersey. Subsequently, after marriage she lived in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, Midland Park, New Jersey, and Middletown, New Jersey, before making Flemington her home in 2025.

Kim graduated from Indian Hills High School in Oakland with the Class of 1982.

She commenced her professional journey at B. Altman and Company in White Plains, New York, where she worked for several years, followed by a position at Stearns in Paramus, New Jersey, both roles focusing on visual merchandising. Subsequently, Kim spent over five years at Evan Piccone in New York, New York, serving as a merchandise representative. With a flair for artistry, she later took on the role of floral designer at Russell Orchards in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and worked as a pastry chef at Wegmans in Ocean Township, New Jersey, for more than a decade before her recent retirement.

Kim was a woman of deep faith, engaging in daily prayers and consistently prioritizing the needs of others over her own. She took pleasure in exploring her community and traveling through New England, where she sought out and collected antiques, many of which she restored. As a dedicated reader, Kim was seldom seen without a book in her possession. Her grandmother owned an Italian restaurant, which greatly influenced her culinary skills and allowed her to gather a wealth of delicious recipes. Kim cherished the holiday season, particularly as autumn approached, as it signified the time for hosting gatherings and spending quality moments with her family, who were always of utmost importance to her. With a heart of gold, Kim was passionate about rescuing dogs.

In addition to her parents,  Kim was predeceased by her brother, Edward J.  Angstadt, whom she was very close with.

Kim is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Stanley Cantilina, Jr., with whom she exchanged wedding vows on December 5, 1987; her siblings, Chris Angstadt and his wife Karen, Brett Angstadt and his wife Deborah, and Stephanne and her husband Bob Franke; dear sister-in-law, Sue and her husband Steve Parent; dear mother-in-law, Patricia Cantilina; many cherished nieces and nephews; several treasured grandnieces and grandnephews; and her beloved canine friend Finney.
